Husky

I call this art Husky. Siberian Husky is one of the attractive dog breed I like. It is a breed of medium sized working sled dog breeds. Though at present these dogs are not used for sled pulling like its original time. It is getting very much common in our social media platforms as a common lovely pet. Originally, in polar regions, huskies are used as sled dogs. This breed is special for their high energy and fast pulling method. For these purpose, at present, huskies are also used for sled-dog racing in the polar region. When we call “Husky” it mainly refers to Siberian Husky. But there are other 22 types of huskies we see in different vlogs, pet related documentaries and pet movies as well.

One of the main features in Siberian Husky is the double coat of this breed. The coat has two layers; the first layer consist a dense and finely way undercoat and the other layer is the longer topcoat which is ticker, straight guard hairs. The key function of the coat is to withstand the harsh cold temperature as low as -50 degree to -60 degree Celsius. These huskies come with variety of color patterns with white paws, legs, facial markings. The most common coats we see are black and white and copper-red coated Siberian Huskies. The eyes are the main attraction these huskies as the most common eye color is blue. We can see in the pet videos that the light blue color of the husky pulls all the viewers attention. The eye color centered in the black, ashen or white facial mark, looks very much attractive. The likeliness differs from person to person. To some the eyes in this composition might look scary and like an angry face, to others it might almost confused kids with a fox face as well. The rarity of different eye color (heterochromia) is also shown in different pet videos as well. The male size of Siberian Husky is ideally between 20- 24 inches weighting up to 27 kg. The female size is ideally up to 23 inches and the weight is between 16- 23 kg. The hunting behavior is seen naturally for this kind as they used to prey for wild cats, birds and squirrels. But they are human friendly and for their loyal behavior, they can be trusted with children as well.

The feature art was driven from an old prompt which I could not complete during the “Inktober 2019”. As I like husky, I kept the prompt and made an art of the prompt later in my practice session. I took a real reference art and made the cartoon version of it. The coloring looks very nice and gives the confused look of a wolf alike Siberian Husky. The art was done in photoshop using 1860 x 2358 pixel canvas. The full art was done using my “Huion Kamvas 13” and the brush presets I have purchased. Though the background was not completely attractive but it gives the viewer a matching satisfaction with the subject.
